The Wicklow UL is an updated version of the original and popular Wicklow Utility kitchen knife. I started with .080″ thick steel instead of .100″. I then tapered the Tang and drilled weight reduction holes under the handle. This knife comes in at 3 oz. as opposed to a traditional Wicklow that comes in at over 4 oz. That’s a 25% weight reduction.
